A few days ago traffic was backed up on the main road coming home. I decided to get off the highway and explore back roads, confident that somehow I’d get home just as quickly, possibly more so.

I discovered a vast field of pumpkins left to rot in the field. Beside them was a wonderful old barn with a very old style silo and well-maintained decorative barn stars (sometimes called “Hex Signs.”)
