Built in 1927, the West Shore Rd Bridge on the back side of Lake Ontelaunee has been closed for two decades.
This Concrete Open Spandrel Deck Fixed Arch, structure is of significant local historic interest as part of the reservoir and water system of Berks County, PA. $3 million has been allocated to rehabilitate or replace the bridge in the fiscal year budgets of 2017 and 2018.
