I caught an interpretive dance by members of the Pittsburgh-based company “Bodiography” last summer while attending a performance by “Cello Fury” (then Celloforte) in Mellon Park as part of the “Bach, Beethoven & Brunch” series, sponsored by WQED-FM, Pittsburgh’s classical music station.
Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, Maria Caruso artistic director, founder, choreographer — is a classically-trained professional ballet dance company. It is an ensemble dedicated to the performance of contemporary ballet, themes, ideas, and music. Cello Fury is a highly innovative rock trio of classically-trained musicians. Occasionally the trio is accompanied by a rock drummer.
The performance offered an compelling opportunity for making photographs outdoors using natural light. In these images are captured mere fleeting moments. Captioning is all mine: limited by my understanding of the art of dance.
