I caught an interpretive dance by members of the Pittsburgh-based company Bodiography last summer while attending a performance by Cello Fury (then Celloforte) in Mellon Park as part of the Bach, Beethoven & Brunch series, sponsored by WQED-FM, Pittsburghs classical music station.
Bodiography Contemporary Ballet, Maria Caruso artistic director, founder, choreographer is a classically-trained professional ballet dance company. It is an ensemble dedicated to the performance of contemporary ballet, themes, ideas, and music.
Cello Fury is a highly innovative rock trio of classically-trained musicians. Occasionally the trio is accompanied by a rock drummer.
The performance offered an compelling opportunity for making photographs outdoors using natural light. In these images are captured mere fleeting moments. Captioning is all mine: limited by my understanding of the art of dance.
