At the base of Hawk Mountain and nestled between several other mountain ridges like "Little Round Top", "The Pinnacle", and "Donats Peak", Allemägnel is a prosperous and rustic farming area encompassing Albany Township in Berks County and the Western half of Lynn Township in Leheigh County.

The name "Allemägnel" dates back to the early 18th century when the area was first settled. In the Frankish German dialect still spoken in the area, "Allemägnel" means "Germany."

My ancestors farmed the Johannes Jacob Donat Homestead from 1892 until 1944, along "The Great Road from Catawissey to Philadelphia" or the "Old Philly Pike" which passed through Allemägnel. I plan to add more photos to this small gallery over time.
