Though not the Photo of the Month, my photo 39-86-22 Victory captures the enthusiasm that gripped Steelers fans
after the teams sixth Super Bowl win. Many of the selections from February are from a photo safari sponsored by Silvereye Center for Photography
led by Louise Sturgess, Executive Director of Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation. Several selected images are mirror board creations. Distorted images are created by shooting reflections in a hand made
mirror board with a point-and-shoot digital camera.
Two of the images selected for this month's page were actually shot earlier, but only processed this month. "Play Date" was shot on Christmas Day 2008; the image hung in the Zombo Gallery
as part of a benefit for a neighborhood dog park. "A Strange Dream About a Small Bug in My Inkjet Printer" is hanging at The Framery during the month of March – part of the Pittsburgh Society of Artists
small works exhibition "Size Does Matter."
